- Cucumber extract: has great regulatory activity on transepidermal water loss. This is due to the carbohydrate and vitamin content of cucumber. Monosaccharides, due to their hygroscopic nature, are capable of absorbing water and therefore contribute to the water maintenance of the stratum corneum. This same property is extendable to oligosaccharides. These active ingredients act by preventing massive water loss and stopping dehydration. It has a moisturizing, refreshing, decongestant and softening action.
- Phenolic compounds: they have antioxidant action, which depends mainly on their ability to reduce free radicals and chelate metals, preventing catalytic reactions of free radicals.
- Grape seed oil: protective and antioxidant effect on the cell membrane thanks to its high content of antioxidants, vitamins C, D, E and beta carotenes. Helps maintain elastic, smooth and wrinkle-free skin.
